Sandra - You're right, it's a risk to keep your hero & heroine apart for such a long time... but I found that in book three, it worked all right. I'm wondering if that had to do with Maccon's state of mind... it was definitely more entertaining in Blameless, so that might have made up for it.

Rachel - I haven't read Clockwork Angel either! But this series will definitely whet your appetite in the meantime... or just cause another addiction ;) Can't wait to hear what you think!

When I read your intro, "like fantasy? like steampunk? like romance?", my immediate thought was CLOCKWORK ANGEL (Cassandra Clare), which I am SO SUPER DESPERATE to read but haven't got my hands on yet.

Anyway, this sounds really great so I've ordered it :-) Will let you know what I think.

I think I mentioned yesterday I love this series. I'm not a big romance fan either, but I do think the second and third books lacked the Alexia-Maccon banter of the first book.
