Mary — Sounds like you have quite the big plans for the year! There’s a lot there, but it sounds great. Best of luck with the move, too — maybe the new space will provide just the motivation you need to get everything done. Sometimes a change of scenery can really do wonders!

My writing in 2010, Well I just re-started my blog. I do like to write, so this year I want to take more time to write and not just on my blog. I have gotten a taste for it and learning about the blog world. I will definitely continue writing in this way and maybe check out that site you were telling me about … if you can be so kind to let me know what it was again. The one where you just write with the topic starter.

Great contest, Faith! Well, 2010 was not a good one for writing (or anything). The less said about it the better. As for 2011, I’ll be moving at the end of the month, so no sense in even trying to get organized before I am in my new place. Once there, tho, I’m resolved to (1) set up a space reserved only for writing and (2) sit in it for at least an hour every day doing nothing except writing. I also am resolved to (3) join an IRL writing group, (4) become active in IWOSC (Independent Writers of So. Cal.), and (5) finish the two online writing courses I started in 2010. I plan by the end of 2011 to have finished the second draft of at least one of my three WIPs. Thanks for the contest, Faith! Wishing you a great reading & writing year!

I am working on a new organization system for the new year. There will be charts and labels and all kinds of great stuff, but the biggest part will be a new rule that will help me combat clutter – For every new item I bring into the house, I will get rid of one item. I read this in a book a few months ago and it sounded impossible at the time but now I’m ready to give it a go.

Great contest, Faith! My writing year didn’t go entirely as planned, though the new writing schedule I devised this fall did hold up for about three weeks I had hoped for more rejection this year, but then didn’t submit as much as I intended. On the positive side, I returned to writing poetry for the first time in years, and I climbed over writer’s block and made further strides on my novel, which I hadn’t touched in at least 18 months.
