Yeah, I try to stick to one book at a time, but generally end up with 3 or 4 that I volley back and forth. It’s a wonder I can keep the stories straight, LOL!

I usually read only one book at a time, but if I happen to be somewhere without said book, I will pick up a magazine or another book I’m interested in, if such a thing is handy (e.g. I’m at the library).

Samantha, I used to be like you, feeling it necessary to complete every book I started, but I got over it. There are too many books that are worthy of our attention, without wasting time on those that are not!

I (usually) read very quickly, so I’m a one-book-at-a-time kind-of-gal. Unfortunately, I also HAVE to finish every book I start, so if I’m not enjoying the read I slow down…

Sometimes I read multiple books at a time, but usually that happens when they are books I’m rereading. For a new book, I can only do one at a time.

I totally agree with your answer and a lot of the books you’ve mentioned sound really great. And the fact that they’re all over the place genre-wise is another reason why I like reading more than one book at once because I tend to read all sorts of books myself.

I read multiple books at a time too. I’ve got 14 currently going. Some of them I started over a year ago.

I often am immersed in more than one book if I’m doing research for my W.I.P. But if I’m in the middle of an exciting piece of fiction, I’ll have to finish it before I can go on.
