It's a great place to store character descriptions & keep track of people and places as you write. I know more than once I've had to scroll aaaalllll the way back through a WIP to remember something or other about a character or location, and it would have been a lot easier if I'd just kept a document with all the info separately. But then, I haven't used this program yet so I'm not sure what other benefits it could have for a pantser writer! But I see what you mean, distractions can seriously mess with getting the writing done. I think I'll download the demo and see if I can ignore the 'extras' during my writing sessions. My only neg point is that sometimes I get sidetracked from writing my actual novel because I'm too busy messing around with the software.
