Jessica -- Thanks :)

Stephanie -- That's exactly what I always do! And then I have piles of notes in random places around the house... in my purse... in various documents on the computer... so I'm wondering if a program like this would be a good way to keep it all in one place. That is, if I can be bothered to enter it all into the program!

I've never used anything like that. I just scribble everything in a notepad and try to make sense of it later!

Susan, even for pantsers I think it would have some benefit! It's a great place to store character descriptions & keep track of people and places as you write. I know more than once I've had to scroll aaaalllll the way back through a WIP to remember something or other about a character or location, and it would have been a lot easier if I'd just kept a document with all the info separately.

But then, I haven't used this program yet so I'm not sure what other benefits it could have for a pantser writer! Might be at least worth checking out :)

I've probably mentioned this before, but I'm a pantster writer. I have a hard time planning. I feel like software would lock me in and stifle my creativity. I could be wrong. Maybe it's worth at least checking out.

That's a pretty solid endorsement! But I see what you mean, distractions can seriously mess with getting the writing done. I think I'll download the demo and see if I can ignore the 'extras' during my writing sessions. Thanks for visiting and commenting :)

I love LSB and have been using it for a good few months - easy to use, loads of functions to play around with. My only neg point is that sometimes I get sidetracked from writing my actual novel because I'm too busy messing around with the software.
