It's as if talking about it will take away some of the magic... or people will give you a strange look and you'll second guess yourself. Makes sense to me! I think ultimately it's best to be choosy with who reads our work before it's "finished". :) I know what that’s like! Most of the time I don't even want to say that I'm working on something, I think I'm scared that I will jinx it, and won't be able to finish. LOL. Barbara - Yes, you DO have lots of pens... haha. I typically like to edit at least once before anyone reads my work too. I find there are fewer 'useless' comments that way (ie. "You have this spelling error..."). Aubrie - Thanks! It's so true... I'm just going to keep writing, and when I hit the end, stop. I think a famous writer from Ye Olden Times had a quote about that... but of course, I can't remember who it was... My hubbie likes to read the stuff printed out--just easier for him to pick up and read than use a laptop. And one of my betas likes it printed out. But others don't, so I guess it depends!
